Meet the Founder

What time do you wake up & the first thing you do in the morning?

I naturally wake up at 7:00 am, and do a morning meditation to ease myself into the day.

First ever job?

Sales Assistant at Waterstones, I cherished that job as it took me a long time to get a job with no experience, and it quenched my thirst to read.

Why Copper Dust?

There was a gap in the market for African luxury, I wasn't happy in my role and I was crazy enough to take a leap and celebrate my British & African heritage and here I am 5 years later.

Favourite part of creating for Copper Dust

Creating a collection from concept to the final product, all the research and love that is put into a collection, and the appreciation afterwards is second to none.

Favourite Copper Dust Moment?

Being invited to exhibit at #shedesigns in Egypt, to celebrate women in design and our contribution to the global economy, life-changing experience.

Favourite country you've been to thus far?

Ooooo, that's too hard however I can round it down to three countries Ghana, Mexico, and Cyprus in that order.

Where do you get your inspiration from for your collections?

Travelling would be at the top of the list, followed by my Ghanian heritage and British culture. I love speaking to my mother and grandmother finding out about traditions and how I can implement them in my designs.

Drink of Choice?

Gin & Tonic, preferably with a splash of elderflower hmm refreshing.

Name a song that gets your creativity flowing?

Fugees Oh La La

The best part of your day?

When everything has been ticked off my list.

Dream job if not Copper Dust?

I'm already living the dream!
